The recommended stormwater management plan includes the following:
- Two infiltration ponds within the loop ramps to help reduce the runoff volume and provide water quality treatment;
- Enhanced flat bottom grassed swales along the east and west side ditches of Highway 6 / Hanlon Expressway to help reduce flow velocities and promote sedimentation;
- New non-structural culverts to accommodate the Midblock Interchange and associated roadway improvements; and
- Improvements to the existing ditching including flat bottom ditches where land is available to help provide water treatment of runoff.
