This Project builds on past studies including:
- September 1995: Environmental Assessment and Preliminary Design, Highway 6 Freelton Northerly 16.9 km to Guelph (W.P. 65-76-05)
- November 1997: Environmental Assessment and Preliminary Design, Highway 6 Freelton Northerly 16.9 km to Guelph - Addendum
The studies were reviewed by Ministry of the Environment (now Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks) and in January 2009 were granted a Notice of Approval to Proceed with the Undertaking under the Environmental Assessment Act, Section 9, by Order in Council with Conditions.
